#7: Re: Gearbox Cost Author: Matt, Posted: Thu Jan 20, 2011 7:12 am ---- i know my car is only a 1.4 8v, but my gearbo cost me £130 from a breakers with a year warranty. cost me a further £100 to have it fitted.
hope this helps
EDIT: you dont really need to do the clutch at the same time, i didnt.
if it aint broke, dont fix it

Yes but if you drive 5 miles down the road and it does go, you then have to take the box back off and do what you should have done in the first place.

There's one on ebay... But it's like £190 Here's the link cgi.ebay.co.uk/peugeot...35ace86c39
#11: Re: Gearbox Cost Author: Danny., Location: PeterboroughPosted: Thu Jan 20, 2011 9:19 am ---- yeaa expensive... Ive had quotes of 300-700 for a gearbox to be fit..
#12: Re: Gearbox Cost Author: Matt, Posted: Thu Jan 20, 2011 9:23 am ---- tbh if you can afford it get one from somewhere like mr clutch as the warranty is much longer i think. think a scrappy/breaker will only give you 3 months compared to i think 1/2 years at mr clutch.
