Right well, it looks like if all goes to plan I may have some new shoes for this bad boy,

A few nights back I scraped my 180 alloys on a curb missing a deer and I hate curbing! And as they are my only set I can't just get them refurbed!

So if all goes to plan these are what might be heading to a 206 near me!

Here is a quick Photoshop of how it could look lowered aswell!

Quite like them, hope I get them now!!!

If I do win them, I might buy some black housing for my morrettes...

Photoshop's not perfect but you get the idea, unsure though if I can be asked, I think it looks good but doesn't look very OEM ok the wheels will be aftermarket but I can pull them off because they're motorsport styles lol

I'll probably buy these alloys and then, refurbish my ones and sell the OZ's on if I don't get on with them but I have a funny feeling they will look awesome in reality!

Comments welcome,

Jamie
now this will look smart ! very much likey

Well todays the day, she's finally off for her repairs.

I'm just happy it wasn't proper damage like dentage and stuff!

For the past week I've had a hire car - New shape Megane drives like A dream! forgot what it's like to drive a car that doesn't have a terrible ride! & best of all it has cruise control!

Anywhoooo by the weekend she will be back all fixed Smile

I'm looking at maybe getting the Renault Megane sport, 225 such a nice drive, and plenty of power. Uses the same BAM code engine as VAG vehicles. So cannot agree enough on the 'comfort' front! lol

Got the car back, signed for it thinking there was dirt down the side of the car, ended up having to take it back because of loads of over-spray all over the door and buffer trails all round the surrounding area, had 99% of the over-spray removed after the ball ache of driving the car to them.

The guy said it was all sorted and I checked it but was niave and didn't go over what they did 100% and we were in the shade with not much room to get a proper perspective.

Just got home and I've literally found hundreds of little scratches all around the car from where they have cleaned it with what I can only describe as razor blades. I'm so p**sed off but it took an hr to take it back.

I think paint correction will sort what's left but don't have the materials to sort it all.

DC - White in Hoe street in Walthamstow. The guy there seems alright but that doesn't make them a good bodyshop. I definitely wouldn't ever use them again.

Gutted because the paintwork was nigh on mint before it went in and I haven't got the time to keep running the car backwards and forwards to them due to uni deadlines one of which is on monday!

- Off to cry in a dark corner.

Just spent the afternoon out with the g220 that's me out of any compounds now,

Shouldn't have had to do that, and luckily my paintwork is un-contaminated because I'm anal or I'd have had to take it somewhere!

98% of their s**te has come off, however I have a little lacker peel near where the work was done but not the actual place which I reckon was them, its on one of the bumpstrips.

Anywhoo pics to follow at some point soon!

I decided to contact the body shop about the lacquer peel & other stuff because I'm thinking why the f*** should they get away with it?

Anyway being as anal as I am has it's plus points you know! I have umpteenth amounts of pictures of this car all over from various angles, so I just mailed them before and after pictures with corresponding dates showing that the damage would have been done under their roof!

POW.

Here is an insert of my mail;

Quote::
"Originally I wasn't going to bring it back because of the hassle, I haven't got the time to run it backwards and forwards due to other commitments and it takes an hr from here due to traffic conditions, however the lacquer peel and finish on he wheel arch extension were the icing on the cake.

It's an insurance claim and it's going to cost me next year no matter who's fault. If I don't get this sorted it will cost me even more because it will just get worse and I will need to sort it before weather damages the paint underneath.

I'm a little stuck on what to do as the car has to come back to yourselves to sort this out but I have since had my courtesy car taken so do I contact the insurance company who contracted you to do the works?" - This last line, probably something they'd wish to avoid as it may loose them future awarded work through the insurance company?

I talk to myself alot lol!

Looks like they are going to sort it all out!

They're going to respray the panel and provide me with a car Smile

PS I took the little bugger out for a grand voyage yesterday and fell back in love! I really want new alloys as mine are curbed, near future, lowering alloys and possible remap.

good to see their sorting it out mate, i don't like using bodyshops unless i've seen their work first, main thing is though it;s been done again to a much higher finish

I will be steering clear from now on,

She's in now and I've been given a Chevrolet Matiz FML lol.

Anywhoo so on Friday I went to Brugge with the Girlfriend and her sister, which means going through Calais which also means she was in her home land lol!

Picture of her riding shotgun in the que to get off!

And my average MPG,

I actually got 33.4 and reckon I could have achieved 35, my average mpg combined is usually around 30.

I will post some pictures up when she is back.

Take note, she's now sporting legally spaced plates.
