That the £43 decat off eBay? ;P
I was gonna get it but didn't know if it'd fit a 138. There's another one on there at the mo ><

Sure was, I was lucky they're selling them at £80 odd,

I always win bids anyways haha veteran ebayer yo! I just hate it when people bid high early never understand people! Why make the price reach it's bingo wings early no chance of a bargain that way!

I don't think that would fit a 138 dude.

I'd imagine it will, although it will plug in properly. I only received it this morning so it's not fitted yet mate lol!

Yeah will do, I'll update this thread with a few vids when it's fitted won't be at least until next weekend though.

I can tell you, my last 180 had a Scopion system with a scorpion decat, never seen any for sale since and that popped alot.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the decat on and instead decided it would be a good time to freshen up the arches and the car in general.

No before pics unfortunately but they weren't amazing.

And today after a spirited last drive on the stock tired suspension... no tire shine didn't fancy q'ding my car after a drive lol!
Anyway,

Not bad for an 11 year old car.

Tomorrow is THE day... not sure how low I'll have it set yet keep thinking 60mm but maybe too far haha. Vibra technics mount is also going on, and depending on price possibly the decat.

Future plans;

Decent tires
Gloss black morette covers
Remap
Brembo 4 pots & Brembo discs and pads all around, most likely grooved ect
OMP WRC Wheel
Strippage

Possibly a GT bumper, and maybe convert it to gti rods instead of cable, I want a better shift and I know you can fit quick shifts/grpn linkages to the 138 system. Depends on how much ball ache it is.

Sort rear bumper, it's got A tiny crack because some tramp hit it at A shopping mall and decided against leaving a note...

Looking good mate! Looking forward to see pictures of it lowered etc Smile

Do you ever remove your wheel arch liners to clean behind? Just wondering as i like to remove mine every now and then to give it a good scrub and the underside of the car generally whilst its in the air. The amount of dirt and grit etc that accumulates behind them over the course of a couple of months is incredible.

Thanks mate and me too lol! I can't wait for it to finally be done!

And no not on this car, I doubt I will anytime soon either tbh. It's like p**sing in the wind, by tomorrow night the slightest amount of rain will ruin what I spent hours on so I won't be doing anything like that which is even more effort, might do it in the summer though, might lol!

Looking awesome as always mate! Plans sound awesome, would be good to see if you can change to rods, reckon a quickshift would be so much nicer!!

Thanks Matty,

Yesterday was the big day...

Car was booked in for decat, mount & lows. Only ended up with the front and rear dampers on as he couldn't get the bars out.

BUT then/// this...:(

Jynxed

3 bolts were missing when this happened...

Dark country/forest lane where you can't get signal and BANG car just hit the deck on that corner. Bolts were still in tact including the threads when 'found' on the dark country lane. So basically either 3 nuts were not done up or they were just not put back on.

I am so f****d off. The car is nigh on mint for it's age and I can't bare to think that it might not be back to my standards.

Scared the life out of me Sad

If I'm not happy with it after, I'll be saving and it will be gone.

I didn't get pictures of the damage but basically the wheel has bent and taken off paint at the bottom of the arch.

I think this will be the last time I deal with mates, he's a qualified mechanic and modifies cars all day long so it was a silly mistake BUT I can't see how by tonight apparently my car will be 'mint' again.

Apparently the arch is already at the sprayers, but I believe that's not the only thing that should be at the sprayers....

I did tell him I only run SP arches to stop my arches getting chipped and potentially rusting...

The last company that did a s**te paint job on my car ended up forking out over 1 grand on a full side respray, so I am quite anal and I don't think he realises just how anal I am with my car but as he is a mate I don't want to make things get special... so it looks likely I will have to pay out for it myself when I have the money.

It will kill me to know it's not as it was. The car has 3 bad points on the bodywork the rest is literally mint. 2 of the bad points aren't a worry to me (stone chips on bonnet usual s**t), the rear bumper is though.

Mate that is so depressing to see and if not's even my car Crying or Very sad can't imagine how you must be feeling bud other than seriously p**sed off!!

I cannot believe they failed to do 3 of the bolts up, your lucky it wasn't more serious, is there anything you can do in terms of suing them for not doing a job properly and ensuring everything was put back properly and almost causing a life endangering accident?

Yeah I'm in a bad mood today now the shock has worn off.

I am lucky, the car swerved towards the trees but I corrected it and got it stopped. I thought I'd had a blow out or something,

I can't really go that way, he's a mate, even if I will say he is lucky that he wasn't because I would if it were just a company.

Wouldn't surprise me if another 'cause' was found today though to shift the blame.

This could be the end for me and this car though, I've had s**t luck with it, and tried my best to keep it mint.

Thats a real shame mate, you would have thought being a mint and probably knowing how well you look after your cars he'd ensure everything was done and to your standards.

I think he will try and find another cause to shift the blame but at the end of the day you know he failed to put the wheel back on properly and as a result has pretty much ruined your concours car

Will be a shame if you get rid of the pug after it's been looked after so well Crying or Very sad would you sell it as it is or strip it for parts?
