#17: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: rthatch, Location: BathPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 6:55 am ---- ok thanks, any idea where i can get some cheap ones?
#18: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: Mike_XS, Location: SouthamptonPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:02 am ---- Crystals or angels? I wouldn't buy cheap angels if i were you.
#19: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: rthatch, Location: BathPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:14 am ---- cheap crystals, guessing you have had some bad experiences with cheap angels?
#20: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: Mike_XS, Location: SouthamptonPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:18 am ---- You'll get some second hand crystals off here for around £60. I bought angels for £130 for the pair. They work fine (apart from one of the adjuster motors). But they just look cheap....you can see that the halos are just 6 LED's. With the more expensive ones they look like a continuous halo of light.
#21: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: rthatch, Location: BathPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:22 am ---- right ok cheers, ill have to wait till next months pay day, giving me a nice amount of time to have a little search around
#22: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: Mike_XS, Location: SouthamptonPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:24 am ---- I've been watching for crystals on here for the past monthish. I bought some last week for £65 posted. There are always some going up for sale.
#23: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: Cr4zYb0y, Location: SalisburyPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:29 am ---- Don't get angels. They are become more tacky as more people buy them, a bit like lexarse lights.
Stick with good old standard Crystals..
#24: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: Jordan_xsi, Location: IpswichPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:52 am ---- I had halo's on for a while, they look good at night on the right car but the light output is really bad and as said they can look a little cheap on the wrong car. Ive got masked crystals now so you should consider them and morettes aswell mate
Also maybe think about other mods that improve the overall look of the car like sports bumpers, colour coding and a ph2 boot strip.

#26: Re: Angel Eyes? Author: rthatch, Location: BathPosted: Sun Jan 23, 2011 7:57 am ---- yeah think ill look for some crystals.
i think the next thing will defo be a new exuast tip, mine is absolutely hideous, standard tip been on since 1999 haha

well plug and play for the beams. of course the halos will need splicing into the sidelight wiring

That was the easy bit, there is just a plug in which you plug the side light wire into, this then feeds the halos and the side lights.
The beams were the harder bit, the original lights are a single bulb, the angels have separate high and low beam bulbs.
