And look at the 6th, 7th and 8th letter of your VIN number for the engine code.

Author: graham_foley69, Location: newcastlePosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 9:08 am ---- So am I right in sayin that the engine code has nothin to do with whether its preplex or multi. Also is the position of the dipstick relevant. I have found an engine with same code and from same year so it will fit yeah?

#5: Re: what engine do i have? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 9:25 am ---- KFW - 1.4 8v EEC 95 depoll engine (TU3AF lump)
KFX - 1.4 8v EEC 2000 depoll engine (TU3JP lump)
The KFW was introduced in order to meet new emission levels [level 4 i think]. It also has a bigger compression ratio 10.5:1 [vs 10.2:1 on the other]. It uses a Sagem S 2000 ECU as well.
Yeah if you get one with the same engine code and year it should fit.
