#1: changing locks Author: stevedude, Location: aldershotPosted: Fri Jan 28, 2011 6:06 pm ---- hi chaps, what would i need to do to change door locks and ignition, apart from replacing them lol id need the keys to locks, but what about the imobliser? could i just change the little bit of metal over into new key? or aint it that simple
p.s anyone got 2 door locks and ignition with keys going for sale?
#2: Re: changing locks Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Sat Jan 29, 2011 3:51 am ---- well it depends on what year is your car,is't a Mux or Pre-lex,do you have the oval shape key,or the round shape key,2 button or one all this matters.
so what you need is:
1-Driver side lock.
2-Passenger side lock.
3-Fuel Cap lock.
4-Boot lock (incase yours have no central locking fitted)
5-ofcourse you need a new switch (ignition) to match all the locks,and you can swap your imobliser to the new key,unless something is wrong with it,but that is another story..lol
