Just been out to investigate my knocking noise and was confronted by this...

 


 


These are Spax shocks and have been on the car around 6 months so im quite surprised Sad

I dont think ill be driving anywhere for a while...

Im not sure mate, bought them just over a year ago but didint get around to fitting them til about 6 months ago.

And before I bought them they were sat around in the warehouse for god knows how long so not sure really... And dont know if I have the reciept Sad

my spax shocks are f****d this week aswell. mine are macking like a rattling knocking noise like a drop link would make.

Whoever fitted them needs shooting because there doesn't appear to be any dust boots fitted. So I wouldn't go showing Spax these pictures.

Found out what caused it...

The guy who fitted them didnt trim down the bumpstop and as a result the shock got smashed to pieces.

even if he did spax are the cheapest sort of suspension you can buy and you get what you pay for! they are s**te! but if you are bit short of cash an want the car lowering they are ok.. i personally would never use them but each to there own!

Whereas I had them on my 206 for over 3 years without any issues.

I'd shoot whoever fitted them though Howey.

Its difficult though, he works on a lot of modified cars but this seems like such an elementary mistake to make. However, he has also done a lot of other work for me and Georgie and that has been very good Smile
