hi , peugeot trying to charge me 11 + vat for an oil filter!! altough in 2009 i bought it for £4 from them!

ECP shows Hengst Oil Filter brand @ £7 (Hengst Oil FilterPart No.: 501660110)

or

ECP again Guttmann oil filter @ £4 (Part No.: 501660111)

which one please? i think the Hengst branded oil filter did resemble original peugeot oil filter the most as it was more mesh fabric then with plastic if any at all . or brand just doesnt matter ?

If you really cared about brand and quality, you'd get the one from Peugeot Wink

Purflux, Bosch or Mahle filters every time.

AEPDirect over w**ky eurocarparts as well

But if you are buying oil and things like that to do the service then the postage isn't really expensive.

I always get my stuff from AEP or Peugeot just off London Road.

Just buy it from halfords. It's not exactly a performance car and I use halfords for my track car. Their oil is made by Comma (which is a good brand) and the filters by mahle. If you have a trade card, the filter is about £1.50 and the oil about £15. I get my 5w50 from there and it comes in at around £20 for 5 litres

Just bought a Mahle filter (£3) and Lucas 10w60 (£33) for my track GTI, cheap, but it seems happy
