#1: Driveshaft gaitor Author: chunkielad, Location: LeighPosted: Fri Feb 04, 2011 3:36 pm ---- The O/S inner driveshaft gator has split on my GTi. Looking to swap myself - are there any specialist tools etc and what is the general procedure/ things to look out for please?
Just done the lower arm, drop links and track rod ends now this!

You will see its dead easy if you look underneath. no specialist tools required, you willl have to free the driveshaft though so you slide the new boots on unless you use the cone as stated above.... Take it they've split? are they not clicking on full lock?
