HELP! Indicators...

#1: HELP! Indicators... Author: Twidly, Location: Home - Norfolk, Uni - Preston PostPosted: Sun Feb 06, 2011 8:44 am
    ----
Last week I changed my indicator bulbs for some of the silver covered ones... You know what I mean.
Well when we did it, the passenger's one was a little dodgey, but we wiggled it a bit & it worked. Then later in the evening on our way out we realised something was wrong as when I indicated left, my dash light was flashing far too quick... I kicked the boyfriend out in the cold to have a look & the bulb at the front wasn't working.

So finally today I decided to dismantle it in the wind, wiggled it about, nothing, thought perhaps the connector in the bottom was bent down too far, pulled it up a bit, put the bulb in to test. Went to the car, turned the hazards on & they were flashing as I walked to the front of the car, then wiggled the bulb again & nothing... ALL my indicators stopped!

The light on the hazard switch still works, but the lights on the dials don't. But it still makes the noise like it's trying to flash (if you understand that)

I've tried looking at fuse lists, but I can't see where it says which fuse it is.

Someone please help asap, sat in the car right now Sad

Is number 27 in the drivers a 15amp? Cause I've just found one of those with a broken wire... Are there any spares?

It should be 5amp

Nah there aren't normally any spare fuses in the 206

Riight, Well I've got a 15 amp that's broke. Just took it out. Stupidly grabbed another one to test it... Put it back & now the car won't start... FML.

You replaced every fuse in the same place that you took it out?

There are fuses for the BSI and things like immobilser, that by the sounds of it you have taken out.

Yeah I've put them all back & it still won't start up.
I think you're right about the BSI or Immobiliser fuse... Is there anyway to reset it or anything?

Is it turning over?

Were you removing the fuses with things turned on? Like the ignition as well?

It's turning over, just not firing up.
Well no. But I took the unknown fuse out, put it in the broken hole & tried to start it just to see if it would. Then I replaced the unknown fuse & tried to start it again, but no-go. The Ignition was off between every try.
It's not the battery, and I've tried locking the car & setting the alarm, then unlocking it and trying it again (:
Please tell me there's a quick fix?

Are all the fuses ok then now? No broken ones?

All the wires and earths are connected up aren't they? You've not moved any other wires?

You've not hit the car in a fit of rage and knocked the fuel inertia switch have you?

I think they are... The only other wires I touched was the indicator wire... I've pressed any plugs I can see to make sure they're in properly & tried the red button thing... See my new post (:
