#1: New Mod Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 10:39 am ---- finally fitted my tow strap and took the advice of Mac from Essex mototsport and used a D shackle to secure it to the original towing eye

#3: Re: New Mod Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 10:44 am ---- would look 100000 times better if u got rid of the standard tow eye and made the strap come through the hole

that was an idea I had but will need to go in the garage for that to be welded or some other way, just thought i'd try it with the shackle for the min, may just get the original towing sprayed the same orange as the alloys
#5: Re: New Mod Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 10:50 am ---- Not keen i'm sorry. Strap will eventually damage the paintwork, and after a few miles will look like an old strap off a wagon.
#6: Re: New Mod Author: MNARAA, Location: In a traffic jamPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 10:53 am ---- Sorry, but thats possibly the second most $h!t looking mod I've seen.
Edit: No actually I've changed my mind, its even worse than the other one I was thinking of.
Do you expect to break down a lot? Why would anyone emphasise something that is only there for use when the car is broken? Last edited by MNARAA on Sat Feb 12, 2011 10:56 am; edited 1 time in total

#14: Re: New Mod Author: Resolutionary, Location: South West LondonPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 12:53 pm ---- As above..not a fan as it sits now but if you replace rather than add-to the tow eye it will work 100 times better.
