#1: Screw, in Tyre! Author: Alan_206HDi, Location: Hatfield Heath, HertsPosted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:20 am ---- Hello,
Right, my problem is a screw in my Right rear tyre.
My questions are:
1) Can it be repaired?
2) Is it safe to drive?
Here are the pics:
Thanks,
Alan.

as for being safe to drive on :S Your call if the tyre isn't going flat though it is a matter of time before it damages the tyre and it does which could be a slow puncture or a blow out, would be wrong of anyone to advise it as safe (in case you take us to court over it ) Last edited by Dillon on Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:25 am; edited 1 time in total
#3: Re: Screw, in Tyre! Author: PUG91, Location: ShropshirePosted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:23 am ---- I got mine repaired at my local garage for £8.50, it was a nail though not screw, no harm in going and asking though

#5: Re: Screw, in Tyre! Author: NorthantsBen, Location: Raunds, NorthamptonshirePosted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:28 am ---- i had one in the exact place on a new tyre and no one round here would do it, said it was too close to the edge
#6: Re: Screw, in Tyre! Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:33 am ---- pretty sure thats too close to the edge as others have said. how annoying
#7: Re: Screw, in Tyre! Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:36 am ---- You MAY be able to have a special repair done, that involves sending the tyre away, takes around a week.
Its far to near the edge for a normal tyre repair.
Anybody that repairs that with a normal tyre repair patch wants there hands chopping off!

There perfectly fine if repaired correctly.

I deal with a hell of a lot of tyres from all different backgrounds and seeing what the slightest damage can finally create puts me off.
4 contact patchs on a car, don't compromise on them.
