#1: Unidentified Knocking Noises Author: 5napey, Location: ManchesterPosted: Wed Feb 16, 2011 2:34 pm ---- Just when i think my 206 is behaving, a new problem arises.
I have got a knocking sound that happens when changing gear, but only when i change into 2nd or 3rd (thats changing up or down).
The thing that is confusing me is that it seems to be coming from behind me??
if anyone has any idea it would be appreciated!

not much else back there i suppose, just find it odd its only with 2nd/3rd gears.

i know its been a while since i posted this originally but i think i have found the ailment i just now need a cure.
the housing on the cat is what i think is making the noise, the clanking comes when i apply or remove the throttle.
a suggestions on securing it?
