#1: bleeding the cooling system Author: Rusky, Location: suffolkPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:37 am ---- im trying/want to bleed the cooling system as i think there could be an air lock on the rad to the left of top hose there seems to be a bleed valve but iv read the bleed valve is to the right and behind the dipstick also is it a pressured system and whats the best way to do it please

Any air on the radiator will find its way into the small hose that leads to the reservoir.
#3: Re: bleeding the cooling system Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:45 pm ---- While car is cold,and engine is not running,open the valve on the heater hose,it's the one on the left while you are standing in front of the car,open it,and also open your cooler reservoir,and while you add coolant+destiled water to the reservoir,you will see the water coming out from the valve taking all the air out,and it means that you coolant system is full now :D,so close the valve,and then close the reservior cap after you reach the right level (Max.)
