#1: Who got this feature??? Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:57 pm ---- Hi All,
I was riding a 206,year 2007 the other day for a friend of mine, who got it recently,so when the car start moving, the speed hit the 40 Km,the central lock do a selflocking, and when the car stops and turn it off,the central lock open,so I was wondering who got this feature??,and is't a programmable one (by PP200)??
Tim
#2: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: skard, Location: UK - NorthPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:00 pm ---- i activated it through pp2000 and put a locking/hazard switch on. however, it never activated in my 2003 car.
not sure what criteria it needs exactly.
#3: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Dabamash, Location: The car in frontPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:00 pm ---- Mine locks at about 10mph. Yours should have it, being a mux...
I call it the anti-rape lock
#4: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:01 pm ---- BSI > Customer options > Security > Locking (its not the automatic one, its the other one)
It's not on all BSIs, its the anti-hijack feature
#5: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:03 pm ---- I dont have it on my 2004 GTI. Supposedly you can activate by putting the key to first turn in the ignition, and holding down the lock button on the dash (
for those that have the seperate lock/hazard). This should turn it on and show up on the MFD.
#6: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:06 pm ---- Thank you guys for the fast reply,I will do this first thing in the morning
#7: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: MRyan89, Location: Home: Fleet, Hampshire, Uni: Portsmouth!Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:06 pm ---- Ive got it on mine, I had to press the locking button which is next to the hazard light switch for like 5 or so seconds if I remember it right...i turned it off after a while though it got annoying haha

#10: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Jay794, Location: Sheffield/Chesterfield/DronfieldPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:19 pm ---- This is sounds like an awesome feature, If mine does have it, it's not activated, but I always lock my doors when I get in the car anyway
#11: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:21 pm ---- Would love it on mine! Car jackings going up and the like. It will make my wife feel safer. Unfortunately I have just the single hazard switch. Will have to go and have a play with my dads 2006 model.
#12: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:23 pm ---- If you have a multiplexed 206, then I think you can just swap the hazard switch for the double one and tweet the settings.
I have it on my non-plexed, tweet the alarm settings on the Clifford

I'll try another switch first before shelling out for a new one. Don't have an alarm so will see what happens.
#16: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:43 pm ---- I have the double buttons(hazard+lock),so should I do as (MRyan89) said,or just use the PP2000?
#17: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 1:46 pm ---- Try and activate it via the switch, if that doesn't work, you'll need to check the BSI settings.
#18: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: MRyan89, Location: Home: Fleet, Hampshire, Uni: Portsmouth!Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 2:19 pm ---- Yeah it should just work by holding down the locking button for a bit!

#20: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: skard, Location: UK - NorthPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 3:37 pm ---- i just plugged in the split switch again and although the hazard works fine, the manual activation of auto-lock doesn't work for me.
if i remember correctly, my friends car (which has this feature from the factory) had an option in pp2000 to change it, whereas mine doesn't. will have another look over the weekend.

Only the later BSI's can autolock, something to do with extra circuity from around 2005, same as the fold mirrors on lock / unlock & rear wiper in reverse.
You can activate autolock with PPS on the earlier BSI but it wont work.
#22: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 5:11 pm ---- You sure?
I'm sure I've turned it on, on a 03 plate
And wiper in reverse, i've done that on a '51 plate last week
#23: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 5:12 pm ---- Mines turned on for my 03 plate when I had the BSI software updated but it wont work, caused the master tech to scratch his head for a bit
#24: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: DeadEyePaul, Location: Rugby,WarwickshirePosted: Thu Feb 17, 2011 5:15 pm ---- Iirc it states this in the cars manual.
I held mine down for about 5 secs but you will be told it's on when the car makes an audioable "bong"
I have to put it back on after every service

#29: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Lee180, Location: ScunthorpePosted: Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:05 am ---- what do you get from updating your BSI ?
#30: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:07 am ---- Not much really, no aftermarket place will do it incase it causes conflicts. Only Peugeot will
#31: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Ghosty, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:24 am ---- just tried it and ill be buggered, it worked displays the message "deadlocking active" after pressing the lock button for 5 secs, with the key in position 1 and at 6mph the car doors locked automatically, :D :D , something i missed from my old civic coupe (toad alarm). so thats one less thing i have to get my bsi updated to do.
#32: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: craigdmjv, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:44 am ---- mine probably wont work multiplexed 52 plate cc
#33: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:49 am ---- Ive got this too
#34: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:48 am ---- Mine doesnt work on my 54 plate GTi.
#35: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: craigdmjv, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:51 am ---- im going to try later on when i go to work
#36: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: lmilligan, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:53 am ---- Thought it would work on a 54 GTi, ive got a 05 HDi sport haha
#37: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 11:01 am ---- Works on my 03 plate GLX after Lee tweaked my BSI configuration.
#38: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Ghosty, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 11:38 am ---- mines a 54 plate HDi GTi, worked fine on that, i cant see why it wont work on a 54 plate GTi as thats basically what mine is, bar the DV6 Deisel under the hood.

I left mine in Sainsburys car park once, for about 8 hours while i was away at football.
Forgot my wallet, so had to grab it from the glove compartment in a rush. Left it open, and the car unlocked. Inside was my sat nav, ipod, stereo, and my laptop in the boot!
Was awed to find everything still there when i returned.
Edited to add: Maybe it's just a Devon thing?

what is the point in it locking at 40kmh? i mean not many people can run that fast and hi-jack a car lol
#41: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: shadow, Location: gloucesterPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 8:33 am ---- it was designed as a child safety feature whilst car was in motion
anti intruder/hi-jacking is when only the drivers door unlocks which is a feature on my wifes 307 D turbo.
#42: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: Matt, Posted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 9:44 am ---- My 02 GLX doesn't have it.
Lee had a look, but the option wasn't available.
I do have rear wiper when in reverse though.

#44: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: ramigojag, Location: worcestershirePosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 11:47 am ---- Im confused then as to whether or not i can get use this anti hijack feature i have a 2004 on a 53 plate GTi 180, i always thought it was abit odd having the lock button on the centre console without a anti hijack system because you could always just push down the door pins to lock the doors
or was it just built like that to save cost on different designs
EDIT: i have tried holding down the lock button and nothing happened
#45: Re: Who got this feature??? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:36 pm ---- On my 03 GLX if you press a door lock pin down it will only lock that door.
However if you press the dash lock button it will lock / unlock all the doors & tailgate.
Motion locking also locks them all.
