Your looking at the OIL temp gauge
The oil temp will go up if your doing high speed running as there's no oil cooler on an XS
Coolant temp gauge is at the bottom of the rev counter

That should of clicked. I feel really stupid now! I'm doing another motorway trip today, so i'll watch the other gauge.
