#4: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: greenpug2222, Location: bradfordPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 2:57 pm ---- The only reason i want it done and or get my own gear is the car is relatively new to me and i know nothing about it, so just want to be sure every thing is ok.
#5: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:04 pm ---- Based on Google maps, it would be about £40.76 if you lived on the same street as Bradford football ground. Or £20 if you came to me.
I'd do a full diagnostic on the BSI, Engine ECU, Airbags, Sunroof [if you have one], Climate control, MFD, Gearbox [if its a auto], auto lights/wipers [if you have those], ABS [if you have that].
I'd also enable any options that you wanted me to, if its possible on your BSI version.

Just worked it out with the mileage on google maps
If it was a price like that, then it would be £40. I don't want the shrapnel

Sounds reasonable. I've been pricing up the gear to do all that and wouldn't have much change out of £200 (and thats from Hong Kong). Stealership would want your car for a full day and then only do half of it for about £100. Halfords do a simple fault code reader for £120.
#9: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: greenpug2222, Location: bradfordPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:27 pm ---- Where abouts in sheffield are you?
BSI????????
Also what are the possible options on the BSi to unlock?
Cheers
#10: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:33 pm ---- Dinnington [S25], but im in the city most days
Built in systems interface.
TBH there isn't really many on a non-plexed, just the odd warning or two
#11: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:35 pm ---- can you do things like guide me home lights and the hazerds flash when brakeing heavy
#12: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:39 pm ---- Can do the hazard thing as I've done that on a couple.
Follow me home lights just depends on the BSI capabilities.
#13: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: greenpug2222, Location: bradfordPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:44 pm ---- what are follow me nome lights
#14: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: sicskate, Location: Margate, KentPosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:46 pm ---- Whats the hazard thing?
Can you unlock parking lights?
#15: Re: diagnostic reader and location Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:50 pm ---- the hazard thing is when u are driving along and u brake heavy, the hazards light flash to let people know, and guide me home lights are when you flash your headlights when you turn the engine off and they stay on for 30 seconds or something like that
