Just pulling up to go left at an island at about 20-25mph in third gear, put my foot on the break because a car was coming from the right and the break felt REALLY heavy and so did the steering, after few seconds (i put hazards on and pulled over)i realised the car was no longer running so i either stalled it or the engine cut out but i never felt or heard anything to give me an idea of which it was. I'm just worried that it'll happen at a faster speed or on a sharp corner, is it possible to stall without feeling anyhing? Cheers in advance.

Oh, and never had a problem with car before, just a clutch that judders

I guess that the brake felt heavy and the steering as well, because the engine was off...so the power steering pump stoped, and the air inside the brake air tank went empty,so brake don't work with no air,and you will feel the pedal is like a stone.
So check your car to see what faults you got in the engine ECU.
