What's the deal with the laptop install? Looks very slick especially the centre console. Explain a bit more Smile

bought a 7 inch usb display, routed all the cables down the centre console under the seat and into the boot. Cut the vents out using a dremel. blocked the vents off with mdf and glue. changed my mind several times about how the monitor would sit. Eventually I decided to cover unsightly parts with silver sprayed mdf. the monitor is held in place by... wait for it. white tack! that way i can shove the bugger int glove box when I leave the car. because im using my cuurent laptop this cost about £150 - £200 to do. and i have just ordered an 8 inch touch screen instead of that 7 inch non touch one. gets a bit annoying whating to change a track on i tunes and having to fins the keyboard and then hold down fn and next!
And the laptop is powered by a 150w car inverter wired from the cigarette lighter into the boot with a switch int ashtray
usb display 7" non touch £84 8" touch screen £130 carcomputer.com
Rafio adaptor £35 ebay
wiring about £20-30 CPC
Car inverter 150W £30 Local Car Mega Store
