#1: Running on a Propanol/Petrol mix? Author: schlash, Location: IsraelPosted: Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:35 am ---- Greetings GentleFolks,
I was wondering if I can run a Propanol/Petrol mix in my 206 1.4L 2001.
I happen to have easy cheap access to Propanol (we use it as a solvent) and from what I can find out it should be similar to Ethanol but releasing slightly higher energy when it burns.
My concerns are as it is similar to Ethanol will it tend to cause corrosion in the fuel system and as it will tend to oxygenate the burn will the Lamda sensor be able to compensate.
Any good advice would be appreciated
Best Regards,
Me.
