#1: break noise... Author: dopey, Location: Hastings, Near BrightonPosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 1:59 am ---- I had my break pads and sicks replaved on last mot in begining of september only recently when i break I can hear a sharp hissing noise.
Any one know what it could be? I have done a search on breals dqeuaking but didnt come up with anything.

When you press the brake, do you get a short hiss from the passenger side? If so then that's normal, if it's continually hissing there's a problem. How does the pedal feel?
Sounds like something to do with a servo / vacuum if it's constant hissing.
If it's a scraping noise, then it would be worth cleaning the pads with a wire brush and see if it helps.

Have dealt with this twice now on a car thats had new pads.....
