#1: remote engine start Author: seanbmx, Location: farlington, portsmouthPosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 5:30 am ---- as i was leaving work the other day there was a supra parked outside when the owner came out he showed off by starting his car with his key about 20yards away!!! this got me thinking, is it possible to fit something like this my 206 as i thought it was the "Dogs B******s"
if ant one has done this to there car can you please shine a light on this for me

#5: Re: remote engine start Author: colinn, Location: IpswichPosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 8:36 am ---- you can buy kits cheap enough irrc - although I think it does involve hiding a box of tricks containing a spare key transponder somewhere in the car (it is linked to a coil that has to go round the ignition barrel to send a signal to the immobiliser) - so security is compromised. And if you leave your manual car in gear then....
I admit it's something I think about doing in the depths of winter - would be nice to remote start the car and thaw it out on frozen mornings without stepping out the door!
