New key.

Had a new blade cut as the old one was wearing down. It will unlock/lock the car by remote and manually. Will turn ignition barrel but want start the car it's the original chip that's all ways been used just a new blade. Any ideas?

Have you swapped the trasponder chip over

Yes if I put the old blade back in it works fine.

So you all you have done is a new blade cut not a full new key?

The transponder chip hasnt moved has it when you swapped the blade over

That's right just a new blade. The chip did fall out of the case. The new blade will unlock the doors and lock them. It will also turn the ignition barrel just want start the car.

The transponder chip is either:

Missing

OR

Not in the correct place inside the key

The transponder chip is NOT part of the circuit board! ! !

You have to transfer your chip from your old key to your new key otherwise the car will not start.

If it wastnt in the correct place in the key it the buttons wouldn't line up to unlock/lock it would that.

Open the key up, fit the transponder chip correctly & the car will start.

How did the chip fall out then?

If its just the blade you dont need to open the keyfob.

Thanks mr bsi will try it now the didn't realise the transponder chip wasn't on the circuit board.
