Had my clutch replaced about a week ago, when i got it first back it was like a new car it felt quicker and quieter, I drove it a few days ago and it doesnt slip into 1st gear or rev without me havnt to be abit brutal, and when i take off in 1st it judder and when its rolling in 1st it isnt smooth, anyone got any ideas?

Take it back to whoever replaced it, if it's the clutch it should have a warranty on it

ill ring them when they open cant belive it, it cost nearly 500quid for the clutch, they should do it again for free shouldnt they?

sounds like the flywheel might need skimmed, if its got high spots on it, it will cause it to judder, they shoud hav checked this when they did it.

did my clutch 2 weekends ago, £78 did it myself. You got bumped

£500 is expensive, unless it was dealer.

i thought because its a hdi it cost more they had to do clutch plate too, first one i went to quoted 800quid, i took my car back today and they going to have alook again hopeful it willnt cost a thing Smile

What makes you think its worth £500 if it was from a dealership, We are all human! just because they have the name Peugeot above their door doesnt garrentee their work anymore than the average mechanic!

If they can get away with and charge you for something that doesnt need doing then they will do.

Some people like to spend more on the repair thinking the job will be done better, i dont understand it!

last time i was charged 150 labour for doing the clutch
