#1: BSI tweaking - cheers Lee Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Feb 28, 2011 4:50 am ---- I met up with Lee last night on his way back from the Peterborough meet so he could have a tweak of my BSI configuration with Peugeot Planet.
I now have switched on
Auto locking
Auto re locking
Crystal headlamps ( means I can remove my wiring adaptor )
Seatbelt warning lamp ( need to fit the buckle )
Rear wiper in reverse if the fronts are on
Couldnt find the setting for folding the mirrors upon locking / unlocking, pretty sure my BSI is to old for that
Also scanned the car & it has logged the 3 times the passenger mirror had been disconnected in the past as it knew the outside temp probably had been unplugged
Really impressed with Peugeot Planet & Lee certainly know's his stuff with it.

Autolocking I guess is when you go over 5mph or whatever the threshold is.?

Auto relocking is meant to relock the car if its unlocked & you dont open a door / boot within 30 seconds.
Correct on the auto locking, you can turn it on / off with the dash locking button.
#4: Re: BSI tweaking - cheers Lee Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Mon Feb 28, 2011 5:04 am ---- really? had no idea it was clever enough for the autorelocking thing!

Hope they all work, but like I said that Auto re-locking has only worked on one 206, but fingers crossed they all work

Not on a 206 BSI, I know the Xsara Picasso BSI can.
You need to fit a window closure unit on a 206 to get this feature.

What year is your BSI? Someone showed me there folding mirrors when locked on there Rolland Garros at a meet once. I think he had it wired to do it though, rather than with a BSI configuration.

Would be GaRG, he had it wired in I believe.
Are there any 'tweaks' available for a 2000 car or is it mainly the later ones?

There you are correct. Steve: GazRG has done it, his How-to/Progress thread should still be floating around somehwere.

True. After both the motors in my GT mirrors died I have taken them off and gone for normal electric mirrors anyway
Still got the switch so one day may just put them back on as it's plug and play
And cheers, will drop him a PM to see what can be done on mine

About the mirrors? They're wired in just need mirrors putting on and they'll work lol.
I've asked what's available for mine and the answer is not a lot to be honest haha so not going to bother.

If the front wipers are ON & you then select reverse gear, the rear wiper will be turned on so it clears any rain from the rear screen.
Just a feature a lot of new cars have, saves you being lazy & having to twist the stalk

Id love to wipe all the cruddy faults from it and have the windows do up as i remote lock it, ad that auto lock is cool too!
#43: Re: BSI tweaking - cheers Lee Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Mar 04, 2011 10:51 am ---- It's different on every car as I don't know what your BSI capabilities are. You don't know until you plug it in.
I've done two today and they were both different.
Turned similar stuff to MrBSI's on in one, and then in the other I just turned on rear wiper, trip computer, turned off the courtesy light, and turned something else on, i cant remember.
There is no feature on the 206 for the windows to close upon locking. That can only be done via a retrofit.

Off the top of my head, you have to hold the button down for so many seconds and that activates/deactivates the auto locking function. How to activate it should be in the owners handbook
