Wind deflectors are the clear things around the top of the driver window. It stops the wind from kicking your ass when you open your window at speed.

I think the reason why they look black is because of the light the pic was taken in.
To be fair they are just the same as your old ones but with a black line round them, you could of done that yourself with a permanent marker on your old ones.
