Personally I wouldn't dream of spraying that panel with anything other than the right stuff... dust free room, compressor, gun etc! And experience!

I still wouldn't do it myself with nice pearly metallic paint like yours - it looks in good condition from your sig and would stand out a mile if you weren't careful. Really depends how anal you are I guess about paint blemishes.
Sure to most people you could probably make it look better on the eye by a DIY job if that's what you're after but with a can on the quarter you won't get a consistant finish to the laquer. And if you wanted rid of the dent with damaged paint you'd need a skim of filler over it too!

#8: Re: How to req: spray rear arch Author: -Tom-, Location: Preston / BirminghamPosted: Mon Feb 28, 2011 3:04 pm ---- The "how-to" suggested is really good. Just bare in mind that is a complete panel whereas DIY you wouldn't be looking at spraying the complete quarter so you would have to blend in the spray which from a can could easily look poop, and then you'd have your margin of Canned laquer compared to factory to deal with. Do-able though.
