Possible ECU/BSI damage am afraid.
You could try a BSI reset and hope for the best I suppose.

#22: Re: How much damage have I done? Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Tue Mar 01, 2011 9:38 am ---- if i were you i would leave it for a while and see if it goes off. it it doesnt, leave it unplugged over night and see in the morning, sounds like rubbish i know but its worked for me before. I had a 307 once that went nuts, indicators flashing, wouldnt unlock, then unlocked itself etc, left it overnight doing insane things, and it was fine in the morning, never had trouble since. it might be that if you leave it for a few hours the fan will go off? hard to say though because i dont know whats causing it to be on in the first place.
#23: Re: How much damage have I done? Author: Sheedy1592, Location: NewportPosted: Tue Mar 01, 2011 11:56 am ---- ive heard crazy ideas work before. how can i disconnect ECU?
#24: Re: How much damage have I done? Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Tue Mar 01, 2011 12:51 pm ---- I think he means dis-connect the battery overnight.
Worth a try.
#25: Re: How much damage have I done? Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Tue Mar 01, 2011 2:50 pm ---- yeh i mean leave the battery disconnected over night to let every capacitor etc flatten right down

Fuses usually blow via amps, this is voltage
V = IR.
Resistance is a property of the circuit and will have stayed the same, therefore if voltage went up so did current.

Author: panason1c, Location: SomersetPosted: Wed Mar 02, 2011 3:05 am ---- You've more likely only 'fried' the fan relay, find the fusebox and unplug the relays one by one until the fan stops, the relay that you unplug and causes the fan to stop is the one that needs renewing.
