hi i will need some brakes soon so im thinking about puting something different then the standed 1s.. i have a 1.6 glx. does anyone have any ideas? i am would be greatful for any advise

GTI or GTI 180, there different although you haven't said what you do have just it's a 1.6glx so are they the 247's or the 266's? If there 266 ignore the GTI and go for the GTI 180

Nitrac discs will be going on mine next, have EBC 'turbo super mega hyper groove' at the moment, cheap, very good on track but look a bit chavvy.

im not sure ill cheak 2 moro. ill have 2 change the calipers?

I'm happy with EBC, i know alot of people slag them off (and probably havent used them) but they have done around 3000 miles and a couple of trackdays and look brand new. Although they are matched to yellowstuff pads, i think that helps alot!
oh and the only time the 206 gets driven is for a thrash/trackday so they really do have a hard life!

do u think they would be ok with every day use?

I think mine are fine, but unless your going on track there are much better out there than yellowstuff for road use. look up ferodo or mintex, they do some reasonable priced decent stuff. Just avoid the basic mintex ones, they're pretty poor
