#1: springs fitted the right way HELP! Author: pugwayharry, Location: StafforshirePosted: Tue Mar 01, 2011 5:02 pm ---- hello people, right have abit of a problem. i fitted my springs earlier, and think i have fitted them both the wrong way round as at the bottom they are tight close and towards the top there's distance, is this bad? advise please!

Chances are they are progressively wound and are designed to be installed the correct way up

Yeah I think they are directional, you can fit a spring upside down.

they are seated fine buddy, just doesnt look right, looking at it all done now?

My small coils are at the bottom which in reality is classed as 'upside down' and they have been for a few months now.
Passed an MOT test like that, driven about 3000 miles ect, no adverse effects, however mine dont state that they need to be mounted one way..
