Juddering, Wierd one
-> 206 Problems

Hello,
My 206 5 door judders badly when i let off the revs and put the clutch down or just let off the revs. It stops when i put my foot back down on the revs. But it also stops when i put my foot on the brake, Ive got a feeling its the front left wheel thats making the noise. But cannot grasp onto what it is.
Thanks

I take it the car is moving when it judders? To get some clarity, when you let off the power you get a judder, when you accelerate or brake you don't get the judder. Is the judder coming through the steering, the pedal or just the car in general? What noise are you on about? A judder is what you feel, a noise is what you hear.

Its a juddering noise. And yeah what you say is correct, when i let off power there is the juddering noise and car judders too. And when i accelerate or brake there is no judder or noise. And just the car in general.
Cheers

If you were getting feedback through the steering then it would more than likely be on the wheel.
I would look at your fuel system. Not worked on a 206 diesel, but quite possibly the fuel distribution pump badly worn and not stopping the flow of fuel to the cylinder when you release the accelerator. You might even have an air leak in the fuel line or a crack in an injector. Definately sounds mechanical rather than suspension or steering if it is making the whole car judder and you are not feeling anything through the steering wheel.
