Running Temperature question - 1.6 HDi
-> 206 Problems

Just wondering on a 1.6HDi, should the coolant temperature move about a bit?

Seems to take its time to get up to 80 (sometimes 5 miles), and sometimes goes back down to 75, or up to 84.

Suspected thermostat may be a bit funny, but the heater is blowing out warm air no problem.

Is it normal? Coolant level is about 1/2 way between max and min.

I asked this question about my 2.0 hdi and yes its normal, it will flucuate a little but nothing to worry about for some reason they can take an age to warm up according to the gauge but if your getting warm air through the vents i wouldn't worry
