#6: Re: 1.6hdi gti unblock fuel filter Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Mar 04, 2011 8:07 am ---- It's not forced to need changing, could be low on fluid or the sensors have gone.
Needs code reading first tbh.
PM a member called paulrushton, met up with him today I turned his FAP off in the BSI and then deactivated the ECU, and he's had a map wrote to over write the ECU coding to take the FAP out. And its working fine now, just needs the physical stuff removing.

#8: Re: 1.6hdi gti unblock fuel filter Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Mar 04, 2011 8:49 am ---- Not sure how much he paid for the map, but he uploaded it himself.
I deactivated it in the BSI and disabled the ECU for £20
Then you need to disconnect the sensors, and then remove the particle filter and fit a normal pipe instead.

#10: Re: 1.6hdi gti unblock fuel filter Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Mar 04, 2011 8:58 am ---- I'm not 100% sure, but if you are disabling it you might as well remove it and then just sell it.
