Whenever i rev the engine just sitting stationery, it revs fine but they come back down veerrry slowly its strange. It doesn't sound like i think it should.
I made a video a while back but its really distorted as i put my phone too close for how loud it is lol...but you should be able to tell from it.

#3: Re: Random niggle Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:40 am ---- i have the same problem! it makes changing gear annoying because when you clutch up it drags the revs down everytime
#4: Re: Random niggle Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:58 am ---- i had a this wih my corsa i found if i used slighty thinner oil it helpped alot
vauxhall recommended 10-40 i used 5-30
#5: Re: Random niggle Author: ash125106, Location: BirminghamPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:05 am ---- LilLew is right my 206 had the same problem the last owner used an oil that was too thick even that was reccomened by peugeot, I would just do an oil change on it with a slightly thinner oil
#6: Re: Random niggle Author: LilLew, Location: PlymouthPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:54 am ---- one thing i would do is before you do the change put some engine flush in first just to make sure it is clear
#7: Re: Random niggle Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:03 am ---- Just got this today randomly, is a bit of a niggle...
#8: Re: Random niggle Author: Seabook, Posted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:07 am ---- this cannot be oil problem.
check your throttle body and cable, make sure they are free to move.
#9: Re: Random niggle Author: bashyy1, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:32 am ---- Could it really be oil? I want to make sure i know what it is before i do anything.
Can I have a few more heads input Plzz
#10: Re: Random niggle Author: Howey, Location: Kings LynnPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:37 am ---- Never hurts to do an oil change anyway
#11: Re: Random niggle Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 11:14 am ---- not sure that it could be the oil tbh, why would that cause the engine to return to idle slowly???
more likely the idle control valve throttle body etc, i havnt looked into it yet though lol
