I asked samco about this and the part number on that link is for the gti not the 180. The top hoses are the same for the gti and the 180 but the bottom ones are totally differnt.

i dont know if anyone will know this but would it be possible to replace the bit thats holding my pipercross induction kit on with a silicone elbow and what size and angle would i need as i would like a white samco one there instead?

i did with my 180, i used 2 90 deg samco hoses (76mm) and som e intercooler pipe to make it go right down to the bottom as it was sucking to much warm air in from the top

thanks for that will look into getting myself some of them and setting that up Very Happy

should only need one 90 degree though then run the piping from the enclosed bit down to the bottom to pull in cold air or does this not work for some reason?

was yours the pipercross viper? also what did you do about the thing that plugs into that piece thats there now?

thanks for your help Smile

ahhh i see well thanks for clearing that up now i wont be wasting some money Very Happy

have you tried other silicone hose companys im sure there are other makes out there that i have heard about so maybe some other company make a kit for it or could make the right piece?

have you asked samco if they plan on making the kit or if they would make the right piece for order?

Or all of you could cover the tooling cost between you so they could make one "off the shelf" for you all. That way everyone else with a 180 would also benefit. You should organise a group buy Wink

i may try and get in touch with them about doing this if the others from this thread are interested?

i mean surely all it would take is to pick up the bottom pipe off a 180 and send it off to them so they could duplicate it in silicone?

tbf though that is easier said than done as its not often you see a 180 bein sold for parts and if you were to take it off your own you would be without a car for however long it takes them to make it Confused

They may also be able to do it from a CAD drawing. Im no expert though, youd be best speaking to Samco.

on the breather the little plastic bit the breather clips onto come out from the standard air pipe so i drilled a hole in the samco and glued it in.

i just had a universal cone on mine and it sat right at the bottom and sucked loads of cold air in

cool will have to do the same and seen as though mine is an enclosed piece i may get away with one pipe and then run the hosing from it down Very Happy

thanks for your help
