haha fair enough!
next step is to address Lambda sensors and a possible air leak then id say
#23: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: leigh_boy, Location: EastbournePosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 2:40 am ---- lambda sensor , only got the 1 on mine, it reads correctly according to my dads snapon tool, i think it could be air leak or the EGR but i dont know enough about the egr really. or how to tell if its working or not.
#24: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: Kersh, Location: Bridgnorth, Nr WolverhamptonPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 2:56 am ---- to test the air leak run the engine on idle and spray wd40 (very lightly and carefuly) around the seals on the intake manifold and the seals on the throttle body. if you hear a change in engine noise that means that some has got through and that is where you have a leak
#25: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: leigh_boy, Location: EastbournePosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 3:13 am ---- ye already done that last week, made no difference, i really think its the egr vavle but not sure on the common problems.
#26: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: Kersh, Location: Bridgnorth, Nr WolverhamptonPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 3:16 am ---- no idea mate, unplug it and see what happens. all it does is recycle gases it should be fine to unplug.
#27: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 7:14 pm ---- Idle Control Valve (stepper)?
I know its not doing it on idle.
#28: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: leigh_boy, Location: EastbournePosted: Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:48 am ---- doh i snaped a bold that hold the egr down, so now i need to get the side of the engine off and drill it out or replace it looks like the side unbolts also does the water housing. I Will try pick up a ICV at the week end see if it makes any differenace but wont hold my breath.

did you snap it up tightening it?? as it will probably just screw out with pliers or fingers or a light drill if you did
take the icv off and give it a good clean with carb cleaner, see what happens
#30: Re: Throttle Position Sensor ( now with video of problem) Author: leigh_boy, Location: EastbournePosted: Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:55 am ---- no undoing it, sheared off level, and its at the back of the engine, have already cleaned the valve.
