I was driving down the motorway as you do and I noticed my engine warning came on BUT ! I didn't loose and power the car was still running perfect so I took it home anyways left it over night and started it up in the morning not a problem but I don't want to drive it just in case its like real bad
Has anyone had this before ?

#5: Re: engine warning light Author: j4m1e, Location: BirminghamPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:26 am ---- oh lol .... yes when i start the car the 'eml' is on constantly but like i say the weird thing is there's no difference in how the car runs :S
#6: Re: engine warning light Author: Teebag, Location: exhall, bedworth, coventryPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:28 am ---- can be anything then. need to get a diagnostic reading on it. could be a sensor misread something and it's now corrected itself but the eml is still on as its flagged something up.

#12: Re: engine warning light Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 5:31 am ---- Is it the first time you've done a long/high speed journey in a while? Normally do short journeys?
#13: Re: engine warning light Author: j4m1e, Location: BirminghamPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 5:39 am ---- yeah normally short journeys but .... i was literaly going from solihull to sutton and i thourght ill jump on the motorway be a bit quikcer i mean my car wont go very quick been a (1.1) but yano lol
i was only on the motorway for about 10 mins and the light came on
#14: Re: engine warning light Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 5:41 am ---- Possibly a CAT related fault, as they tend to get clogged up a bit on short journeys then when you give them some hammer it triggers the light. Just get it read, and clear it and see if it returns.
