#1: removal of full air feed on a gti 180? Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:55 am ---- Basically when i got my car i have put in my own induction kit but all i did was remove the airbox and put the induction kit in its place.
When i have replaced my wing i have looked at removing the original feed for cold air but there are lots of things attached to it on my car
I was just wondering if anyone knows what bits i can remove and how to go about it, i looked at the thread on how to remove the original cold air feed but it looks different on the 180.
Heres a link of what im looking to take out of mine, im just worried that if i take it out it is going to be attached to something as there are what seem to be hoses attached to the box and metal pipes running all over the place and it appears to be attatched to the breather somewhow i think
Any help would be much appreciated, mainly want to get rid of the box that sits behind the wheel arch as when i put my new wheel arch lining in the plan is to cut a hole in it facing down and cover it with metal mesh and attach the cold air feed to there.

do you think there's much use to putting an oil catch tank in there then add a breather filter onto that?
