Sunroof Question
-> 206 Problems

#1: Sunroof Question Author: Phil_G, Location: Leamington Spa PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 9:31 am

I am just dealing with the last of a series of annoying problems. The issue I have is that the sunroof (panoramic) is quite temperamental. It sometimes only goes back a few inches, other times opens fully. It also consistently fails to close all the way. It closes enough to be watertight, but not enough to stop wind noise.

I have resigned myself to removing the headlining next weekend to find out thats going on. Initial thoughts are it is one of three things:

Sunroof motor needs replacing (about £25)
Sunroof cables need replacing (about £35)
Whole sunroof needs replacing (£130)

Any ideas which of those it could be given the symptoms (crosses fingers for motor)

Cheers

Now that is some good news. Do you reckon the motor will need lubing, or just the runners (hidden question, is there any way I can get out of removing the roof lining?)

No idea, never done a 206 sunroof Laughing

Worked on a 405 electric sunroof, lack of grease / use.

Thanks for the advice, looks like I will have to play it by ear.
