#1: radiator leak Author: Kersh, Location: Bridgnorth, Nr WolverhamptonPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:34 pm ---- Cracked open the bonnet today and noticed a large amount of white splats all over the place from the radiator backwards, was pretty obvious that it was water and the antifreeze had left white marks.
Had an inspection of the radiator and noticed that under the pipe thats just to the right of the centre of the radiator connected to the header tank is where it seems to be coming from, the pipe itself seems fine, no splts or anyhting and wont move when i tried to budge it.
the mesh on the top of the radiator itself howver had come away from the radiator by a couple of mm just in that area. and i could still see a couple of bubbles just under that mesh.
now could it be that mesh coming away thats caused the leak or is it just bubbling because its collected in there from a header tank leak etc.
how is the header tank connected to the rad?? it could be coming from there.
and if it is the rad.. whos got one for sale?

Yes it came from a year 2000 GTi. Mint Condition
