You can also try and use a chisel and drive it into the gap at the back to open it up so that the strut isnt being held in the top of the hub?

Bigger hammer is the answer
To get more room to hit the chisel try and turn the hub to full lock so the back of the hub is closer to the front, so you get more room to use the hammer.

I t will have been in there a few years but it will come out with a good smack from a heavy hammer. I hope you've bought some new ones to replaced the old stuff?
#9: Re: Suspension strut clamp Author: jamie_206, Location: DoncasterPosted: Sat Mar 12, 2011 1:39 pm ---- It didnt work ! only replaced them last year didnt think they would be so jammed! And yea I got all new bits .
#10: Re: Suspension strut clamp Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Mar 12, 2011 1:50 pm ---- Did you use copper grease on them?
#11: Re: Suspension strut clamp Author: jamie_206, Location: DoncasterPosted: Sat Mar 12, 2011 5:52 pm ---- Yea I think so . It seems like the clamp is pinching the bolt . I got the strut out by about 1cm but it wouldnt come any more .
