#1: Knocking from passenger side wheel....READ ON... Author: kuushty, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Mon Mar 14, 2011 4:25 am ---- Hi guys, well i finally managed to get the brake pads fitted in after all the trouble...everything went back together fine....
Didn't replace discs though as i'm waiting for some new t30 bolts to arrive as they are being a nightmare to get out, so i'm gonna have to drill them out.
Since i've done this work however, there has being a knocking noise coming from passanger side... i've taken the wheel off, and checked everything was put back together right... nothing wrong.
So could it be the shocks? seriously, this car has NEVER been jacked up i don't think, well not for a good few years, and perhaps when i did jack it up, the shocks were gone already and i just made them worse?
what do you guys think?
cheers
Rob

Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Mon Mar 14, 2011 4:31 am ---- I had a bad knocking sound come up from the drivers side a couple of weeks ago. I took the wheel off and everything looked fine, so I decided to take the strut apart having several parts ready for replacement. Still everything looked fine, so I put it all back together and the noise has stopped since I have no idea what it was.

well when these bolts arrive i'm gonna dismantle the lot and clean everything up and put it back together again...if that doesn't work, then garage time methinks

Just read up on that and watched a couple of vids...knocking is EXACTLY the same...
How long can our lass safely drive around with them knocking away? i mean, she needs the car for work this week, and I wont get chance to do the work on them til this weekend coming

I'd still make sure the T30s were in just to be sure
