hey. had a look at the guide in the how too and it's that simple even i was able to do it with my very limited knowledge. Anyway 2 questions.

1st both of my connectors are white but my new mirrors have one white and one brown with different connections, have i got the wrong ones or is it fine.

2nd. how does the wiring look to you on this, first picture is the drivers side, second is the passenger side which has a blue wire not connecting to anything Confused

yeah, the mirrors that are on it are a pile of s**t. the passenger one isn't even set correctly. even if you turn it all the way towards the car, you still cant see the nearside of the car. took the covers off and this is what i find !!!!

What a ball ache, he's completely f****d that up. Can you not match the colours to what it originally was?

Sad tell me about it. think he has had a go at doing the aftermarket cd player as well as that thing has a mind of it's own as do the door speakers which work intermittantly.

hope nobody on here recognises it as there old car after all the abuse it's getting Embarassed

any ideas where to start, not that it will matter too much as appears i have bought the wrong mirrors, one white and one brown connector Confused

Should be 5 wires on the drivers mirror side of the loom.

Red, blue & green are the up / down & left / right movement
2 x brown wires are the heated glass.

Passenger mirror is the same but there's also 2 black wires for the outside temp sensor.

All those colours are correct for genuine Peugeot mirrors where a dog hasnt chewed the wiring Laughing

to be honest all i can see is the yellow of the tape..will have to have another look on the mirrors i have got in the garage, which are pug one's and whats coming out the door in the car..all the functons work correctly Shocked even though the blue wire isn't even attached..as for the heated glass and temp sensor will the wiring still be there even if the feature is not on my car!! Confused

half expected a mouse to come out of one of the holes when i saw the state of the wiring Very Happy

your car does nave the temp sensor. its just where the sensor itself is in the passenger wing mirror and has been cut off it wont display a temp in the car just 3 lines like so --- or something like tht

not that it matters too much with this car...i know this may shock everyone with my last two threads but the centre displays in the car dont work either..going to have a look at fixing them as not certain if it just needs new bulbs or a new display...and this is why i always said never buy a car from the auction!!!. lesson learned and all that

The white plug that appears from out behind the doorcard is the original Pug wiring.

Outside temp sensor & heated glass is standard on the GTI Wink

Temp sensor should be in the passenger side mirror.

Soldering iron & heatshrink FTW Wink

You need 5 wires for the drivers mirror & 7 on the passengers.

They MAY be 2 extra wires in the plugs on the car side of the loom, they will be for electric folding mirrors.
