#1: HID - Water in connector :( Fail...... Author: Lewis1304, Location: NuneatonPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 2:17 pm ---- Got home today, went to pop shop for my dad and 1 bulb wouldnt turn on, banged headlight still nothing, checked the connections and 1 of them had corroded due to water, so basically I need a new bulb and a new ballast....
Anyways, is there any way of safeguarding against this happening in the future?
Kind Regards
Lewis

If it's because water has got in the headlight from the hole needed to fit wires through drill them out to an appropriate size and buy a rubber grommet with a small enough hole to be a decent size fit on the wire, should help somewhat compared to a large gap.

Simple
#13: Re: HID - Water in connector :( Fail...... Author: Lewis1304, Location: NuneatonPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:29 pm ---- I would love to Addaz, however the ballast has no connector to join to. Looks like a new ballast at least, might try cleaning out the bulb connector with a pin or something....

If it is inbetween where the ballast connects to bulb, snip both connectors on and replace?
