Ben, had been bout for bout a yr now, jus wanted summit diff, but there's another one in Raunds similar to how mine was.
Was worried bout how itd look, but overall i dont think its too bad.
Overspray on exhaust will come off easily anyway.
#17: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: Dabamash, Location: The car in frontPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:42 pm ---- I love it, just don't ruin it now with a load of chavvy aftermarket bits and bobs
#18: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: staz999, Location: WoodfordPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:44 pm ---- I plan not to, only thing aftermarket is lowered n alloys, which are black too. Like the OEM look of the 206 so i dont wanna kill it.
#19: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:46 pm ---- Hmmmm, i will reserve judgement till i see it in the flesh

#20: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: staz999, Location: WoodfordPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:48 pm ---- all door shuts r done, n boot, engine bays gone black because any oil or anything on that paint gonna look nasty...

depends on the original colour of the car if the inside of the engine bay is black as that was the original colour it would look cool

TBH i ent seen what the end job on the engine bay is yet....
I am worried because that could potentially kill the whole thing....

are you serious have you not seen cars with a engine bay done a different colour they can look the businesst
there's a civic i saw somewhere thats white with gloss black roof and gloss black engine bay, looks awesome!
and can be pulled off if done right imo
oh and he might not have that im just saying its something that could have been done if the car was originally that colour and he had not sprayed the engine bay to match the rest of the car
#28: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 4:14 pm ---- Absolutely love it wish they did that as an oem colour I would have so had one
#29: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 4:15 pm ---- drunknmunky is right about the engine bays, seem some sick show cars with smoothed and coloured engine bays, looks sweet

Might work with vibrant colours, but black? In my opinion just no
Needs alot of work to make it even close to right, euro cars may make it work but a luminous green 206?
Cant work without some serious serious attention to detail, then still i will reserve my veiw

i aint got any pictures but search the net you will find them specially in show cars
i wouldnt consider getting it done myself as it would cost a fortune i think with them having to take the engine out and all that
#34: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: dopey, Location: Hastings, Near BrightonPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 5:47 pm ---- I LOVE how much did it cost out of interest.
Always wanted the bright green or orange RS!
#35: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: Jordan_xsi, Location: IpswichPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:35 pm ---- Im really not sure, i like it but i dont. Depends on the rest of the car (alloys, front light choice etc) but im swaying more to like i must say.
#36: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: Southall, Location: Warwickshire, UKPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:57 pm ---- Sick colour dude!
I reckon I'll love the whole thing if the rest is done right, dunno about the engine bay yet but...

#38: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: Bailey, Location: Finding Dr. RobotnikPosted: Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:55 pm ---- Tbf who care what colour the engine bay is, surely it's never going to be seen, unless your changing the oil or whatever. Im pretty sure at car shows he's not going to have the Bonnet up unless your getting an engine conversion?!
#39: Re: Marmite, u either luv it or hate it Author: staz999, Location: WoodfordPosted: Fri Mar 18, 2011 2:51 am ---- Cost is up in the air, but a mate did it somewhere around a grand! Took 10 weeks though because it was between jobs!
