#1: Throttle Body Problem! Author: Lewis1304, Location: NuneatonPosted: Fri Mar 18, 2011 1:21 pm ---- Hey Guys,
Had a throttle position problem, so took the throttle body off to give it a clean, wiped all the inside of it out and got all the muck out and then put it back on the car.
Put it back on car, fitted induction etc and then started it up and it revved to 2k straight away and keeps going up and down from 1.5k to 2k revs.
Any ideas what this could be?

#8: Re: Throttle Body Problem! Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Fri Mar 18, 2011 1:50 pm ---- Did you put the gasket back on and tighten it up? Sounds like either an air leak or you might need to reset the ecu via unplugging the battery for 30 mins then letting it idle on its own for a couple of minutes.
#9: Re: Throttle Body Problem! Author: NorthantsBen, Location: Raunds, NorthamptonshirePosted: Fri Mar 18, 2011 1:50 pm ---- make sure there in no air leak between the throttle body and intake manifold and gasket is ok.
EDIT: as above me.
#10: Re: Throttle Body Problem! Author: Lewis1304, Location: NuneatonPosted: Fri Mar 18, 2011 1:53 pm ---- there's a tiny little gap between the inlet and throttle body but i thought it was normal... should i tap it on with a hammer so its on mega tight, leave the battery off for 30 mins and reset ecu too?
