i was looking to fit a trs tow strap and bolt it to the chassis
#17: Re: front tow eye removal Author: micka, Location: leicestershirePosted: Sun Mar 20, 2011 5:09 pm ---- Get the angle grinder on it, but its just going to cause you a headache.... To fit a trs you will have to drill through thick chassis, be happy with what you got, so long as you don't put a red jap tow hook on it lol
#18: Re: front tow eye removal Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Mar 20, 2011 5:13 pm ---- Not many cars get towed by the tow bar these days anyway.
Just grind it off, and fill the hole in in the grille

They do mate! My dad does vehicle recoveries and when he gets the car on his spec lift he uses a electric winch to pull the car on to the truck
It plays a vital role

But if the car does not start then you use the tow eye cover at the front to pull the car onto the platform of the recovery truck, or get 5 polish lads to the push the 206 onto the platform, lolllllll
#26: Re: front tow eye removal Author: Jay794, Location: Sheffield/Chesterfield/DronfieldPosted: Mon Mar 21, 2011 4:21 am ---- I can sort of see what the guy is saying, there's a few Euro styled 206's with the towing eye removed, and it does look good, but I'm in 2 minds about it, just like the rear wiper, I mean you're removing a function of the car
#27: Re: front tow eye removal Author: Kersh, Location: Bridgnorth, Nr WolverhamptonPosted: Mon Mar 21, 2011 4:24 am ---- its a peugeot.. youre pretty much guaranteed to need it 2 or 3 times a week
