Ok well i have a 2000 Grand Tourisme and everything was fine till this morning at 6am.Was out yesterday in car and done about 140miles+ with no problems but today i start car and its running lumpy???? sounds a bit like a scooby lol engine rocks when i start it and let it idle? hope this is an easy fix.Can anyone shed some light?

Sounds like a misfire. Check the spark plugs, gaskets etc. That would be the first thing Smile

Probably dampness on the HT (high tension) electrics causing the misfire, should be ok once fully warmed up and dried out.

This happened to me and i needed a new coil pack......... but could be loads of things tbh

Great hope it aint the coilpack checked plugs and probably best replace,she due a service at 80k so just do this at same time even tho just on 78k

Only use Bosch spark plugs...

Ok will do the ones i have taken out are peugeot ones as it has been serviced by them since new.
can i ask why to use bosch plugs??

Peugeot ones will generally be Bosch.

Other brands have been know to make the coilpack have dicky fits. There was even a service bulletin published about not using NGK

What else can it be? i mean been running great till this morning.Need car to get to work and had to take time off till i fix it(really see why alot of people dont like french cars)

No warning of any problems parked it up and was running fine,sits all nite and now it aint???

If you need the car sorted quickly take it to a garage, unless your pretty knowledgable you could end up spending a fair amount of cash changing things and not solve the problem and having to take it to one anyway. Coming on here and guessing (like most people, myself included do) is fine if your not relying on the car but you sound like you really need it. The information given on here is great but hardly comparable to a mechanic that can see, hear and touch the car...
