Hi,

Something up with my clutch...i was driving normally and suddenly the clutch goes down then came back up..but the clutch came 2 far back up...its like its stuck to my foot it comes up so high. Still goes into gear and drives, but im worried,

had the clutch done 2 or 3 weeks ago..

clutch cable was also done a few months back.


Any ideas?

Give them a chance, its only been an hour and a half. First thing I'd do if I wasn't mechanically minded is take it back to the place I had the clutch done.

Most people are at Uni or Work...

I would take it back if its only been a few months will still be under warenty

hahaha its the middle of the day most of us are at work! give us a chance. i personally have no idea but as quarmbo said, its only been a couple of weeks id take it back..

Good point Quarmbo, Bashyy1 u better go back to the garage that changed your clutch. Normally they will give certain mileage warranty on cluth job.

For the cluth cable, it contain a self adjust mechanism. When u hear something like 'click' whenever u press down the pedal, u know that is time to change the cable. The only thing adjustable is the clucth peadal itself, there's a nut u can play with to adjust the height of the pedal.

My dad did the clutch..and im very confident that he did it correct as hes been working on cars for years and knows what hes doing.

Id tighten the nut on the pedal to make it go a bit lower, the cable will self adjust to it. So it will be fine if its still going into gear fine.

Yes i did this the morning after, so it doesn't come up so high but that didn't change anything...

Just wondered if its anything to worry about really..
