If the job is done by a pro. it will be a peace of cake for him, because his car is not a metalic color, but if it was a metalic color it will be pain in a**..lol.
It can be fixed easily, you should see mine,it's worse than yours many times,I need a new right front wing+new bumper+new headlight+nice grill :(,I will post mine tomorrow
#6: Re: been crahed into Author: DeadEyePaul, Location: Rugby,WarwickshirePosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:51 pm ---- Any CCTV nearby maybe worth getting police a word
#7: Re: been crahed into Author: alexthekid, Location: Dewsbury Nr leedsPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:54 pm ---- the door is fine but from the start of the door the crease starts
i had one qoute £480 then another £300 not sure what to do
#8: Re: been crahed into Author: Seabook, Posted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:55 pm ---- 300 is cheap considering the work involve to fix a rear quartor wing
#9: Re: been crahed into Author: Cr4zYb0y, Location: SalisburyPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:59 pm ---- Same damage that i had on my car but slightly worse, however my door was affected aswell..
#10: Re: been crahed into Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:59 pm ---- Was it the guy with the speakers?
Maybe he was p**sed off about you mocking his car
#11: Re: been crahed into Author: Mikey2uk, Location: StevenagePosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:01 pm ---- It looks like a new rear quarter is needed as that crease will not be able to be pulled out.
If you go through your insurance they may write it off.
#12: Re: been crahed into Author: alexthekid, Location: Dewsbury Nr leedsPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:02 pm ---- onthats what i was thinking but is it two cheap??
also i pretty much narrowed it dowen to five guys. they all have vans drive to pub have 6 or 7 pints then drive home. when i conmfronted them as a group they offered me . i cant do with that kinda hassle. but i have reported them all and there regs to the police for drink driving their days are numbered
#13: Re: been crahed into Author: Teebag, Location: exhall, bedworth, coventryPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:07 pm ---- £300 is too cheap. rear quarter can be pulled out and the crease filled. the one that needs checking is the structural integrity of the lower b pillar. if thats buckled in the slightest it will be a write off i'm afraid.

well, you can always ask how are they going to fix it before they do the work.
at the end of the day it is just car panel, i wouldn't too bother
#15: Re: been crahed into Author: alexthekid, Location: Dewsbury Nr leedsPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:09 pm ---- the car didnt seem to have shifted that much from where i parked it(as in sideways ) so im hopin he didnt hit that hard. but as i didnt see it i cant be sure
#16: Re: been crahed into Author: Teebag, Location: exhall, bedworth, coventryPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:11 pm ---- does have to be a hard hit if in the right angle. my reccomendation would be new rear quarter cut in and whilst they have it off they can sort any other issues underneath the damage.
#17: Re: been crahed into Author: kieron, Location: in the housePosted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:14 pm ---- kyle had the same damage to his 180 when a immergrent run a red light but took the door with it too, it cost around 800 quid as they had to blend the whole side of the door in , the skin alone is around £300
#18: Re: been crahed into Author: NICKST, Location: Little hulton (worsley)Posted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:32 pm ---- Wouldn't ask for new panel as then all the factory seals will be broken. That panel is a single skin paper thick. and totally hollow behind so wouldn't take much to do that damage. There will be no structural damage so don't worry about that. It just needs pulling out and reshaping very easy job. As for colour matching if that caint do it that shouldn't be doing the job.
Will only be a write off if your cars worth less than £500.
#19: Re: been crahed into Author: Big_Rich180, Posted: Tue Mar 22, 2011 3:31 pm ---- I was quoted for similar damage on mine, it needed filling then a full side respray and i was going to be charged £320

Its gonna be a simple knock it out & filler repair for those prices.

That's wot you want? No a new panel as it makes a mess off all the factory seals if it was mine I would knock it out Resnais and filler it.

Depends on who does the repair.
I've had a new rear quarter fitted on a previous car & the side the body shop fitted was actually better then the other side that was factory fresh
Welds where neater & paint was a perfect match
Then again it did cost the other parties insurance nearly £1300 & this was about 14 years ago
